Portrait Photo Tips

Over the years, Kyle Zimmerman Photography has discovered a few family portrait tips that
will help you get the most out of your family portrait photo session:

1. Feel free to bring along important or fun props. Do you all play instruments? Bring them. We will have fun.
2. If you are unsure about what to wear, bring along extra outfits. Your photographer has a great eye and can help you select.
3. Talk to your photographer about any concerns you might have. We have so many solutions!
4. Talk to your photographer about the possibility of creating unique products that reflect your lifestyle.
5. Stay away from small busy patterns in your clothing. Keep it simple and classic.
6. For a group, it’s nice if you can decide on a palette that everyone can work with, like, “why don’t we all wear, jeans, blue’s and greens.”
7. It’s best if you all look as if you’re going to the same place, rather than having one person who is dressed as if they’re going to a fancy restaurant, and another who is dressed as if they’re going to a ball game.
8. If your pets are part of your family, why not bring them along? The more the merrier!
9. Take it easy. If you relax, be yourself and have fun, your beauty will show in the photos!
