Portrait Photo Tips
Over the years, Kyle Zimmerman Photography has discovered a few family portrait tips that
will help you get the most out of your family portrait photo session:
- Feel free to bring along important or fun props. Do you all play instruments? Bring them. We will have fun.
- If you are unsure about what to wear, bring along extra outfits. Your photographer has a great eye and can help you select.
- Talk to your photographer about any concerns you might have. We have so many solutions!
- Talk to your photographer about the possibility of creating unique products that reflect your lifestyle.
- Stay away from small busy patterns in your clothing. Keep it simple and classic.
- For a group, it’s nice if you can decide on a palette that everyone can work with, like, “why don’t we all wear, jeans, blue’s and greens.”
- It’s best if you all look as if you’re going to the same place, rather than having one person who is dressed as if they’re going to a fancy restaurant, and another who is dressed as if they’re going to a ball game.
- If your pets are part of your family, why not bring them along? The more the merrier!
- Take it easy. If you relax, be yourself and have fun, your beauty will show in the photos!
